Self-Defense Program
For ages 12 and older, regardless of level of fitness or ability. Forty-five minutes of easy to follow aerobics activity gets us ready to explore the tools we possess for self-protection:
- Using our head, recognizing when things are escalating
- Awareness with avoidance tactics and de-escalating techniques
- Escapes from grabs
- Hand, elbow, knee foot strikes
- Practice of target areas on realistic training dummies
- Amounts of force, learning which level is needed
- Methods of cycling, combining physical techniques
